Description SC / SM #16 (1.6mm) stamped and formed contacts are two piece strip and formed crimp snap-in pin and sockets.These contacts are suitable for UTS, UT0, UTG, UTL, UTP, SMS, MBG connector series composed of #16 cavities. This contact concept give you an high flexibility to switch from a connector series to another without the need to change the crimping tools, that means no additional investment and no need a new qualification.SC / SM #16 (1.6mm) stamped and formed contacts consist of a crimp body made of high conductive copper alloy and a stainless steel retaining spring featuring retention in the housing cavity and a closed entry socket to prevent probe damage.These contacts are available with a wide range of plating to answer to all of you need in term of electrical performances: we propose gold, gold flash, tin over nickel plating and selective plating options.The contact is with its open barrel is standard available on strip and packaged with 3000 pcs on reel. This reel packaging combined with semi or even full automatic crimp tooling provides the added advantage of a lower production cost for high series volumes. For lower volumes, we also proposed a loose piece packaging adapted for manual crimping process.
